...Until the evening of, which they then start ripping down all signs it ever happened. By the 26th it was just another day. But it was fun while it lasted! I will combine a few different days of pictures to show off various Christmas finds. And also a bit more of Kyoto city!
At the mall near the folks place they had it pretty decked out for Christmas. And on this particular day they even had a children's choir singing traditional Christmas songs! Though I am sure the words are different.
In Kyoto we spotted a couple young guys dressed as Santa walking around, no clue what they were up to! At the same mall above we encountered the same thing and they were handing out candy! Pretty neat.
Wreaths and lights were all along the sidewalk in downtown Kyoto.
And this is the one and only house I ever saw decorated. It was outside a train station...somewhere between stops.
When we were in the grocery store on Christmas day, around 8pm they were already tearing down all their decorations. I thought it was hilarious.
A few more shots from Kyoto, probably shown 3 years ago too.
The big and old Kabuki (Japanese traditional plays) theatre.
A mascot for an Udon museum. Slightly odd.
A nice day along the river. Have to come back here in spring for sure!
And another, with the Santa's too.
A random temple was buried in one of the big shopping districts.
Zooming in you can see just how BIG that Buddha was.
This blog was supposed to be uploaded awhile ago but other things got in the way unfortunately! Sorry about that.
